Originally a block of garages for council properties, this site involved demolition and clearing which we undertook ourselves, prior to developing the site for new build housing, comprising twelve 2 bedroom apartments and nine 2/3 bedroom houses.
This development of twenty one units involved using the latest technology of a Kingspan Tek frame, which enabled us to achieve an Eco Rating of ‘Very Good’. We also moved a large, high voltage cable which supplied the housing estate behind and complied with stringent sound proofing regulations, due to the site being close to a railway line.
The whole development was completed in around 13 months. Orbit Housing Association took ownership and now have a mixture of rental and shared ownership properties on the site.
